Cirque Macabre

Cirque Macabre is a single-player, first-person survival horror set in a decaying 1975 circus. Step into the shoes of Terrence as he searches for his missing brother, solving twisted minigames, surviving deadly puzzles, and facing grotesque spirits. Uncover the truth — if the circus doesn’t claim you first.

This student project was made during our second year studying Games Art, and this game demo was also awarded the UH Animation Exposé  Best Playable Game Award 2025.  It started as a game pitch during Semester A, and eventually grew into a playable level over 3 months of hard work. This is the first game we have ever developed together as a team, and we are super proud of it! 

The game is playable the whole way through, however this version has some bugs with the inventory system (where the game is unable to identify items in the inventory). There is a way to bypass this, which shows up as a prompt on the screen when needed.
